Happy Birthday Saku

Wanted to send out a cheers to my all time favorite MMA fighter Kazushi "The Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba!  I hope someday to meet you and shake your hand, until then please accept a remote Happy Birthday, and thank you for your contributions to martial arts and MMA.

Here is a great HL tribute to the one of the most respectful fighters ever, one whom never knew the word fear though many coughRicksonGraciecough feared him...

Happy Birthday Kazushi Sakuraba

Join me in wishing my favorite fighter of all time, Kazushi Sakuraba as he celebrates another pass around the sun today.  The Gracie Hunter is without a doubt one of MMA's most exciting fighters and unquestionably (to a fault) had the biggest heart as he would fight to the end with anyone... ANYBODY!!

Hope your day is full of joy and spent doing whatever you wish to spend it doing.

CACC's Billy Robinson (1939-2014)

Wanted to send out our condolences to the family and friends of Billy Robinson who passed away in his sleep yesterday at the age of 74.  One of modern MMA's most influential coaches and figures, Robinson taught his style of Catch As Catch Can wrestling to the likes of Sakuraba, Yoji Anjo, and Megumi Fuji.  Most viewers of the UFC will never have a deep understanding of just how important Billy Robinson was to the sport.

Rest in Peace.

Kazushi Sakuraba.... Happy Birthday to the Gracie Hunter

Wanted to send out a happy birthday wish to my all time favorite fighter Kazushi Sakuraba who is 44 years young today.  Here is a great highlight film on Saku's  amazing MMA career where he remains one of the preeminent grapplers, strikers, and wrestlers!  A man with bigger balls then most, Sakuraba will go down as the best MMA fighter in history.

Sakuraba Documentary

I found this on Youtube, where it states this clip is taken from an upcoming documentary my favorite, and one of the best ever, fighters in MMA history; Kazushi Sakuraba. I searched around but could not find any more information. If anyone has information on this project please feel free to email me the details.

Sak is one of MMA's legends, known as the Gracie Killer, his style, personality, and class earned him the admiration and respect of fans worldwide, but it was especially his Japanese fans whom he gave a sense of class and dignity to.

Sakuraba Technique Breakdown

I stumbled across this cool video of one of my favorite fighters of all times, Kazushi Sakuraba. In this video the editor has broken down Sak's technique base, which is largely from Catch Wrestling (CACC). Regardless of where Sak's technique base comes from he is an amazing grappler, and dominated Pride FC back in the day. Endless fun to watch and just an amazing inspiration to all grapplers and fighters!
